Our Old Chippy In Anfield

I found this interesting photo of our old chippy while tidying up yesterday. It was taken on Townsend Lane in Anfield in the 1960's.The shop no longer exists. I think my parents had the shop for most of the 1960's it was sold in the early 70's. I remember going there on Saturdays; the shop was at the front, then there was like a lounge then a kitchen at the back. I always remember the warmth of the coal fireplace which lit up the lounge. The rooms upstairs were dark - I thought they were haunted.
