They were here to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the founding of the Cunard shipping line.
Colourful projections were displayed on the Three Graces(Liver,Cunard and Port of Liverpool buildings) at night followed by fireworks on the River Mersey. Street entertainers delighted the public during the day and there was plenty of ice cream and street food on offer.
Monday saw the last liner, the Queen Victoria, leave the port with flag waving spectators at the cruise liner terminal next to the Pier Head.
